LAST DAY OF 2012

10:49PM, one hour and eleven minutes before January 1st of 2013. I remember last year, parang ganito din ata ang introduction 'ko? Anyway, this will be my last post this year. Toink. Well, ang kaibahan lang siguro last year, sa Cellphone lang ako nag-ta-type, pero ngayon sa laptop na (nag-level up. TNT).

Last year, 20 years old lang ako (Lol), Local Store Marketing sa McDo, Single (not married), sabihin na natin na masaya din naman ako kahit papaano last year, pero mas masaya ako ngayon.

Last three days of June ng first time kong makarating ng Davao for a product presentation (oh 'di ba bongga). July 2012, business meeting, site visiting, meeting clients, attending different events, first time ko ding makarating ng Zambales. August 2012, ang malaking pagbabago sa aking bayan, August 04 ang plebiscite ng Cabuyao, at syempre it was ratified and became officially a City on that day. September 2012, second time ko maging coordinator sa awarding ng mga bahay sa sundalo, busy sa work, at syempre nabuhay lalo ang social life ko, I experienced so many things, promise! October 2012, we welcomed the secong Filipino saint, Saint Pedro Calungsod. November 2012, enjoying my social life with one of my closest friends, Lovelyn, I met so many friends in Clan, attending GEBs, etc. Attending planning sessions (in Subic for three days), madami akong nakilalang tao ng buwang ito, mga naging malapit kaagad sila sa puso ko, kaya I know hindi ko kaagad sila makakalimutan. December 2012, I celebrated my birthday more bonggacious than last year, I can say. May mga na-feel ako these past few days, marami akong biyaya na natanggap, hindi lang regalo, reward, blessings, that is why I will always be thankful to God. I will not mention anything here, alam ko na lahat 'yon. I feel more blessed this year than last year. Thanks be to God forever,

My predictions for the coming year of the Water Snake, magiging masagana daw ang taon kong ito, basta't maging humble lang daw ako, I will do it. Pagdating sa Lovelife, ahm, magiging masaya din daw ako this year, (sa wakas! LOL) basta 'wag daw akong maging arogante, I will do.

So, thank you and good bye 2012, and welcome 2013! Though the coming year is with number “13”, but we should be positive for the whole year and everything will be in good place.

Let us all welcome 2013 with LOVE in our HEARTS, PEACE in our MINDS and GOD in our LIVES..

SIERRA MADRE VILLAGE: CABUYAO? OR NOT?

Sierra Madre Village, Santa Elena, Cabuyao City. I'm not sure if that Village, Sierra Madre, is really located in Cabuyao, or can I say that, it is located in Cabuyao but not really addressed by its developer as located in Cabuyao? It is situated, as you can see, beside Cabuyao Exit from SLEx. I wonder if someone will say that it is located in Santa Rosa City. But if you will serach for its website, or on any advertisement, its "Site Location" is addressed as Santa Rosa City. I don't know why?

I believe, that Sierra Madre Village is in Cabuyao City. Not in Santa Rosa.

SM CITY CABUYAO?

SM CITY CABUYAO - it's possible, I heard that Sy's vision of having SM Malls in every five minute-distance travel will help raise an SM Mall in Cabuyao. Cabuyao, one of the youngest cities, has no mall since its incorporation, thinking that it became the "Richest Municipality in the Philippines" for the last three consecutive years. The highlighted portion on the map was not really an SM Mall, it is the Cabuyao Commercial Center (CCC), a three-storey commercial building built and operated decades ago. It had Cabuyao Grocery Store, a Jollibee branch, Chowking, an arcade upstairs and three cinema houses on third floor. I remember when I was a little kid, it was my first time to watch a movie on a cinema house in CCC, Cedie was the movie on the silver screen. LOL. But now it is still standing, but not operating anymore. The green fences covering the whole structure indicates nothing on what will the commercial building be in the future. Only rumors. Rumors say that Sy already bought it to redevelop, but there's still no fact about the rumor. But wether it will be developed to become an SM Mall, or a Hypermarket or SaveMore, it will still be the old Cabuyao Commercial Center in the hearts of Cabuyeños who had been served by it long time ago.

A CRAZY LITTLE FEELING CALLED BITTERNESS. TOINK

"These dreams go on when I close my eyes...

Every second of the night I live another life.

These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside...

Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away..

(Further I'm away).."

Kahit ako, I remember when I was in highschool (or even in College :)), lahat ginagawa ko din mapansin lang ako ng taong crush ko.

Grabe lampas 1 year na pala.. at my upcoming movie pala si Mario dito sa Pinas, si Erich ang partner nya. Can't wait for that movie! In-add ko si Mario sa FB, Twitter.. Hala na-adik na ata ako sakanya.. Haist..

Hmp.. Kelan ko ba huling naramdaman 'to? Smile :)

CABUYAO IS NOW A CITY!

CABUYAO CITY, Laguna - After 441 years of Cabuyao being a town in Laguna, it is now a component city joining San Pablo City (1940), Calamba City (2001), Santa Rosa City (2004) and Biñan City (2010) in the ever-progressive Province of Laguna. One of the oldest town of the Philippines, Cabuyao served as the mother town of Laguna's western town and cities. "Encomienda de Tabuco" (Cabuyao's old name) was founded by Miguel Lopez de Legaspi on January 16, 1571 with its barangays comprising Barangay San Pedro de Tunasan, Barangay Malabanan, Barangay Santa Rosa de Lima or Barangay Bukol (colloquial), Barangay Calamba and Barangay Santo Tomas. However, after so many years, its barangays became seperate towns, San Pedro (1725), Biñan (1688), Santa Rosa (1792), Calamba (1792) and Santo Tomas, until they became cities (except for San Pedro and Santo Tomas). Finally, their mother town became a city at the end - the City of Cabuyao.

Since 2010, after the conversion of Biñan into a city, Cabuyao was "The Richest Municipality in the Philippines". No questions at all, as it was stated here..

Cabuyao is currently holding the No. 1 spot in the ranking of the Richest Municipalities in the Philippines. Why? Because according to the Commission on Audit, Cabuyao has an annual income of P593,166,000.
Yes, that huge. This is credited to the industrial estates situated in this first class urbanized municipality. These big time industrial companies include Nestlé Philippines, Asia Brewery Inc., San Miguel Corporation, Tanduay Distillers Inc., Wyeth Philippines Inc., and Light Industry and Science Park of the Philippines.
But aside from that, there’s more to Cabuyao than these industrial estates. The Pinay international artist, Charice Pempengco, was born in Cabuyao. Also a native of this town is Charo Ronquillo, the first ever Filipina model to enter the finals of Ford Supermodel of the World Search in 2006 where she bagged 3rd place.
With world-class personalities and companies cradled in this municipality, no wonder why Cabuyao is the country’s richest municipality not just in financial terms but in talents as well.

It was December 06, 2010 (the day after my Birthday) when the Cityhood Bill of Cabuyao was introduced to Congress, December 13, 2010, when Congress had a business hearing about the bill. March 29, 2011, when the bill was transmitted to the Senate. October 24, committee hearings were conducted, it was December 05, 2011 (My 21st Birthday) when Senator Bong-Bong Marcos sponsored the bill, December 06, 2011 (after a year of its filing) Cabuyao Cityhood Bill was transferred from Calendar of Ordinary Business to the Calendar of Special Order, and after the successful readings and committee hearings, the bill was approved by the Senate on January 16, 2012, the same date of the 441st Foundation Day of the town. For completion, the President should approve the bill and it was sent to the President's Office on April 24, 2012. And on May 16, 2012, the President, His Excellency Benigno Aquino III, signed the bill and enacted into law by virtue of Republic Act No. 10163. In order for a town to be officially converted into a city, its cityhood should be ratified by its people through a plebiscite, The Commission on Elections scheduled the plebiscite of Cabuyao on August 04, 2012. It was rainy on its plebiscite day due to Typhoon Gener, almost 140,000 are the number of registered voters of Cabuyao as of 2010 election, but less than 20% of it came to polling precincts to vote. There were only 24,670 total voters, in which 10.29% or 2,538 were against and 89.71% or 22,132 were agreed for the cityhood. Since majority of the votes casted were after the cityhood, Cabuyao City Charter was ratified on the night of August 04, 2012. It's a congratulation for all of us, for Cabuyao and its people.

SAN PEDRO, Laguna—Cabuyao town in Laguna is now officially a city even if only less than 20 percent of its registered voters turned out for a plebiscite on Saturday.

The final count showed 22,132 residents voted in favor of the town’s conversion to a city, while only 2,538 residents voted “no,” according to lawyer Juanito Icaro, Commission on Elections director in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon).

Icaro said by phone Sunday that the votes counted in the plebiscite translated to an 18.23-percent voters turnout.

Cabuyao, a first-class municipality in the second district of Laguna with a population of 205,376 as of 2007, had been seeking cityhood since last year, Icaro said.

The Local Government Code of 1991 requires a municipality to meet at least two of three requirements to become a city—land area of at least 100 square kilometers, an annual income of at least P100 million and a population of at least 150,000.

President Benigno Aquino, on May 16, 2012, signed the executive order directing the conversion of Cabuyao to a component city. The order was required before  the residents of the municipality could ratify the change of status in a plebiscite. Maricar Cinco, Inquirer Southern Luzon
It's a great privilege knowing that I am one of those 22,132 Cabuyeños who voted "YES" for the Cityhood of my Town. I can say that I'm already part of Cabuyao's History during its incorporation as a city. CONGRATULATIONS! CITY OF CABUYAO!
